Kevin P. Chavous has recently formed Serving Our Children, Inc. (SOC). This foundation's mission is to provide limited monetary assistance to teachers for special classroom needs. Mr. Chavous strongly believes that America's teachers should have better access to resources without having to navigate through most school bureaucracies.
Serving Our Children, Inc. is working closely with District of Columbia Public Schools Chancellor Michelle A. Rhee to identify and meet the supplemental needs of D.C. schoolteachers.
